WAX610D No 5Ghz

Hi Zyxel Community!
I have a WAX610D AP and use it in Standalone-Configuration. For some reason, I am not able to see the 5GHz Radio on any of the 5GHz capable devices that I have (actually only Android Phones) and I am unsuccessfully trying to figure out whats wrong. My old AP, which is still running in parallel, shows 5GHz without problems on these devices.
- I have installed the newest firmware (6.30(ABTE.3)C0) and have loaded the system-default.conf, but still only 2.4GHz with SSID="Zyxel" shows up.
- When I deactivate the 2.4Ghz "Radio 1", the AP seems to disappear completely.
- I tried to rename the SSID of the 5GHz "Radio 2" to something else, e.g. "Zyxel_5G", still nothing.
The logfile also looks good. No suspicious error messages there.
It might be a hardware fault though, since I bought this AP on EBay.
Now I am running out of Ideas ... how would you proceed to debug this problem?
Thank You!!!

    Hi @treibowski

    Welcome to Zyxel community!

The profile looks fine on the 5GHz radio, the display on radio list including channel, power and utilization shows the AP is working in normal status.

If you bought AP in second hand, we suggest to press hardware reset for more than 10 secs when you firstly boot up AP to prevent AP unexpected failure. For this case, you can try to connect by typing the SSID manually on device or use Wi-Fi signal scanner APP or application to do deeply check if the signal exists or not.

We can help to check some hardware element in the diagnostic file if above operation doesn’t help, could you please collect at MAINTENACE > Diagnostics page and PM me the file?

    Thank you

    Regards,

    Bella

Hi Bella, thank you very much for your suggestions! I ran the hardware reset and ran the initial configuration wizard again, but there is still no 5GHz signal visible. I also tried scanning with the App NetSpot or connecting by typing the SSID manually, with no success. I have send you the diagnostic files via PM! Best Regards

    Hi @treibowski

We are sorry to inform you that the hardware of radio 5GHz is broken according to the diaginfo logs.

Please proceed to RMA the unit following the steps in the link:
