atp100 - veeeery slow speeds
We have a 65/65 ethernet connection that works at full capacity on a cheap €50 router. But when I connect it to the ATP100 I barely get 25/15 and the usual speed is only 6/15.
I guessed that the network speed wouldn't be an issue since it's much less than 1000Mb, but I was wrong.
Is there any policy that can create this behavior when misconfigured?

Hi @sambaWelcome to the Zyxel community
. About your situation, we have some questions would like to confirm with you:
(1). What is your ISP bandwidth unit for 65/65? Megabytes or megabits?(2). What is your network topology?(3). How do you test the network speed?(4). When you test the network speed, are there heavy traffics in your environment(I mean many clients in your environment)?(5). Do you enable security services(Such as App patrol, content filter, Anti-Malware, IPS, Reputation Filter, Sandboxing, CDR, etc.)(6). Do you enable BWM feature?(7). Do you enable remote VPN or site-to-site VPN service?(8). What are your Ingress bandwidth and Egress bandwidth for the WAN interface?See how you've made an impact in Zyxel Community this year!

1) Megabits
2) ISP->ATP100->SWITCH->6 PC CLIENTS
3) https://www.speedtest.net/
4) no I am testing it during off working hours so no other trafic
5) some of them
App patrol - yes (even if I turn it off completely there is no difference)
content filter - ads only (even if I turn it off completely there is no difference)
Anti-Malware - yes (if I turn it off I am able to get 25/17)
IPS - no
Reputation Filter - yes (even if I turn it off completely there is no difference)
Sandboxing - yes (turned off adds 2-3Mbps)
CDR - no
However I am not able to get anything better than 25/17 even when everything is turned off. Maybe there are some other settings which I applied during setup. Gonna reset it completely and then I will turning functionality and after each one of them I am gonna test the internet speed.
6) no
7) no
8) link speeds are 1Gbps/1Gbps0 -
Hi @samba
(1). What is the €50 router? What is its brand and model name?
(2). What is your ISP provider? What is the ISP equipment model name?(3).If excluding switch, what are the speedtest results for those three scenarios ISP->client 、ISP-> €50 router->client 、ISP-> ATP100->client ?
(4). Do you enable SSL Inspection in your environment? Because SSL Inspection might lower network speed.
(5). How does the client connect to ATP100? by wired ethernet connection or by WiFi connection?
If by wired connection, what is your ethernet cable specification? Cat5 or Cat6 or Cat7 or Cat8?If by WiFi connection, what is your WiFi AP specification standard? I mean 802.11AX or AC or N and its frequency band 2.4G or 5G? (Not sure if there is WiFi AP in your environment, we just want to confirm it.)See how you've made an impact in Zyxel Community this year!

(1) Mikrotik RB750GR3
(2) grma, dont know
(3) ISP->client - 70/70
ISP-> €50 router->client - 70/70
ISP-> ATP100->client - 5/5 - 25/15
(4) yes but it changes nothing
(5) wired, no APs
Actually tested with everything turned on/off but changed nothing.0 -
Thank you both @mMontana and @Zyxel_Jeff.1

Usually autonegotiation of ethernet works quite good. So... Maybe some cable/plug/socket might have some issues? IDK...Keep monitored the performances, there's still a chance that something will change in the near future.1
