NAS326 expanding from 2TB to 8TB... But never ending...

Basically I had 2 x2TB HDD installed…

Few days ago replaced with 2 x 8TB. Of course first one disc, then the second.

Then followed the 'resync' advice… Went O.k.

So now was time for 'expanding' - started that - but it is already expanding for 5 days… And still continue…

What to do to finalize that?

It shouldn't take that long. When the volume is clean it should only take a few minutes. I would reboot the box.

Well… What do you mean 'clean'?

It contains about 1,43TB of data…

Clean is about filesystem errors. As resizing of a filesystem is a delicate process, the box won't do it when there are filesystem errors. So it will first run e2fsck (checkdisk), and when that returns clean, or has repaired all errors, the actual resize is done. That resize only takes a few minutes. The running of e2fsck can take more, especially when errors have to be repaired. But not 8 hours.

O.K. I did reboot… And started 'expanding' again… I'm affraid still the same… It is 'expanding' already over 1 hour… Looks like something is wrong.
