USG310 - Throughput?

Options

Hello together,

we administrate three Hotels with WLAN for the guests.
In all three hotels we have a Vodafone Cable internet connection with more than 200Mbps download. Provided by a Fritz!Box.
In all Hotels there is a USG310 directly connectet to the Fritz!Box.
Behind the USG310 i only got a throughput of about 70-90 Mbps (no VPN, just with a normal speedtest).
Is that a normal throughput or do we have a wrong configuration?

Best Regards, Marcus

    Hi all,
thanks for your help. BMW wasn't enabled. But i found the problemsource:
There was a Zyxel 24-Port Switch GS1900-24HP connected to the LAN-Side of the USG310.
Via this Switch we connect all the APs.
For my measurement, i disconnected all the APs from the Switch and put only my laptop in.
    IT WAS THE SWITCH!
As soon, as i rebootet this Switch, the complete bandwidth from WAN-side was reachabel on the
    LAN-side.
Thank you all. We can close this post now.

At the time of your testing, did you make sure that you were the only one using that line, or could there be other devices with access to your internet connection at the same time?

    Hello TrondBKSuleimanCo,

i connected my Laptop directly to USG310/LAN-Side with all other LAN-Connections disrupted.
In the Datasheet i read, that USG310 has a throughput of about 5000Mbps (SPI firewall throughput).
So the 200Mbps from the WAN-side should nearly go to the LAN-side, am i right?
We don't need VPN or anything esle. We just use the USG310 as WLAN-Controller.
Can we configure anything "off" to get a higher throughput?

    Best regards, Marcus

Throughput by wfi depends on AP and device with how far they are along with band in use 2.4G or 5G and channel width set

    Hello PeterUK,

thats right. We use the USG310 as WLAN-Controller for all the APs in the hotel.
But i disconnected all APS and connected my Laptop to the LAN-side of the firewall
with CAT7-LAN-Cable. So no WLAN and frequency plays a role for my measurement.
Still on the WAN-side 250Mbps download and on the LAN-side only 95Mbps.

    Best regards, Marcus
