Hi @steeven
Could you update the mac OS to V.13.1 and try to install it again? I verified it is working. Thanks.
See how you've made an impact in Zyxel Community this year!

We just started seeing this same problem on Ventura 13.4 and 13.4.1 Do we need to wait for an Apple fix or is this something Zyxel is looking into? Or will we just need to finally move to the Zero Trust VPN or macOS?

@itxnc Did you encounter the same error message that said cannot connect to its helper tool? Have you tried to re-install it?
please also check if the device encounters the same issue below.

This isn't with the IPSec client. It's with the SSL VPN SecuExtender. Worked great until 13.4.1. Now we get this error. We're trying to convert them over to the Mac IPSec client now.

Hello @itxnc
I know you were referring to SSL VPN SecuExtender, it could encounter the same problem as the article mentioned, please check if it's blocked by system software limitation.
Moreover, I can confirm that SSL VPN SecuExtender 1.2.5 works with macOS Ventura 13.4.1.
BTW, Is re-install the SecuExtender helps?

We tried to reinstall, no luck. Checked the security panel in MacOS and didn't see where it was being blocked. We migrated them over to the new IPSec client w/IKEv2 for now (all the other users with this client are Windows). But if we get another Mac user. we'll try the steps in that article. Thanks!

Please try doing a complete manual uninstall of the helper, restart the computer, and then attempt to install the software again. The helper can be manually uninstalled by running the following commands in the Terminal:
sudo launchctl unload "/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zyxel.SecuExtenderHelper.plist"
sudo rm "/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.zyxel.SecuExtenderHelper"
sudo rm "/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zyxel.SecuExtenderHelper.plist"Moreover, temporarily disable or uninstall any security software that could be inadvertently blocking the helper installation or preventing it from starting. This includes things like antivirus, firewall, and similar software. Enterprise management tools should also be temporarily disabled (we’ve seen issues with software like "Digital Guardian" and “SentinelOne” in the past).
Please note that make sure the date and time on the computer are correct. If they are incorrect macOS may reject the code signature.
Finally, if the user is still stuck, more information may be available in the Console log. The Console application can be found at /Applications/Utilities/Console.
