Firmware not available for EX3301-T0
Hello, I am trying to find the latest firmware to flash it using a FAT32 USB drive but the download search didn't find anything regarding EX3301-T0
Could you please provide the upgrade firmware?

Hi @AX6,
Apology for the late reply.
Since EX3301-T0 was designed specifically for a particular ISP to be used by their customers. If you have any further inquiries or concerns, please feel free to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or your local Zyxel support for further support. They are pleased to help you.

@Zyxel_Melen
Yet these routers are freely available through retailers, so it is cheesy just referring customers to their ISP for support.
@AX6 take a look at https://www.zyxel.com/global/en/support/download?model=ex3301-t01 -
Hi @rh43,
EX3301-T01 is mainly provided to ISPs, and it uses customized firmware. Due to the policy, we could not provide the firmware to the end customer. In addition, you can find the firmware on the download library and upgrade your EX3301-T01 if it is a retail version model. However, the ISP version model cannot use this firmware to upgrade since the firmware version is different.

Thank you for following up, @Zyxel_Melen.
It is confusing that Zyxel ships devices carrying the same model number, yet having different capabilities. With this policy, consumers are unable to know if they are buying a fully functional box or some hamstrung surplus ISP device with little to no support from the manufacturer, especially for second hand devices.
Can Zyxel tell retail devices from CPEs supplied by an ISP? If so, how?

Hi, I managed to obtain the admin credentials but the router refuses to flash the latest firmware, isn't there a way to flash the latest firmware even if it requires wiping the while device? It was provided by the ISP and I have turned off remote management

Hi @rh43,
Not all of the ISPs request us to have a mark on the device. For the workaround, you may check the firmware version is the same as the firmware version on the download library. If not, that means your device is an ISP version model. Please contact your ISP for the latest firmware.

- There is one firmware including all versions dx or ex
- You should post which firmware version is your actual ….
- I read that you have to install first each version between yours and the newest one
- Newest is 5.50(ABVY.4)C0 from October 20, 2023
- If its a ISP Version you probably do not have the admin rights for firmware updates ?

Hi, i think its the "G" in your firmware there should be a "C" so you have a special version that must be upgraded by your ISP .
