Two WX3100-T0 configured as MPro Mesh but not working as expected
My two WX3100-T0 devices are configured as MPro Mesh but do not work as stated in the manual. When I move from one area to another with a mobile phone, the signal weakens and weakens, and eventually disconnects. The AP switching does not occur and works like two independent APs. Why could it be?
Note: SSID, Password, and Security Modes are the same.
Both of Firmware version is: V5.50(ABVL.4.1)C0
My configuration is as follows:

It looks weird, maybe you can try resetting to default settings and try again, or ask your ISP provider or retailer for assistance.

Hello @ozanaki
According to the user guide at https://download.zyxel.com/WX3100-T0/user_guide/WX3100-T0_V5.17_5.50.pdf the WX3100-T0 should support AP steering and Band steering, see below screenshot.
But it does not seem to working for you with the latest firmware.
If you use a WiFi analyser app, then are the 2 WX (e.g A and B) both seen by your mobile device at the same time?
* I use the WiFi Analyser by olgar.com on my Android phones for WiFi surveys.
I think that AP steering needs the WiFi coverage of the 2 APs to overlap…
Kind regards,
Tony

Thank you for your reply,
I tested the coverage of APs with the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It absolutely overlapped as shown below. But unfortunately, it did not work as expected.
I'm tired of trying different combinations of APs and any setup did not work. I gave up and I'm selling my WX3100 devices as second-hand. My single TP-Link AP works nicer than two WX3010 :(
Best regards,
Ozan AKI.
