Does the XGS1930 take a stacking cable to join two XGS's together?

    You may try the following steps to properly set up your link aggregation:

    1. Navigate to Basic Setting > Port Setup. Configure the port's media type to dac_10g.

    2. Next, set up link aggregation (LAG) by navigating to Menu > Advanced Application > Link Aggregation > Link Aggregation Setting. Select the ports you want to group and enable this group with the criteria you select for outgoing traffic distribution.

    3. If you want to configure LACP, navigate to Menu > Advanced Application > Link Aggregation > Link Aggregation Setting > LACP. Enable the group you want to use for LACP and enable the LACP function.

    4. Once you have completed the above setup, remember to save it properly to your switch.

    5. Be sure to set up the same LAG/LACP configuration on the opposite switch to ensure the link aggregation functions correctly.

    If, after the above setup, you still cannot link your link aggregation, please collect your tech support file from Management > Maintenance and send it to us through a private message.

    Hi @Zyxel_Kay ,

    I would like to stack two XGS1930 with two DACs for redundancy. Which Link Aggregation settings do you recommend (static, LACP, other settings)?

    Is it possible to use the last two SFP+ ports for the DAC trunk, and the other two SFP+ ports with transceivers with link aggregation and a VLAN configuration? As far as I read there might be restrictions in stacking mode but since the XGS1930 does not support stacking mode I hope I can use the SFP+ ports in such a setup.

    I'm afraid I've made my question unnecessarily complicated. I would like to reduce it to the bare essentials: How can I connect two XGS1930s with to two DACs? What do I have to configure in the switch settings when I want to use the last two SFP+ ports.

    If you would like to connect your SFP+ ports with DACs, please ensure you configure the port's media type to dac_10g in the switch’s web GUI. You can do this by navigating to Basic Setting > Port Setup.
