SCR50AXE and mesh wifi

Good morning everyone,

during these days we are testing new firmware on SCR50AXE, it seems stable and very nice. I'm just looking for some improvements, for future Companies, like Mesh WiFi on this security router.

Anyone has experience on that?

I'm deploying this router with satisfaction but in some environments it needs more WiFi coverage with limited possibility to plug an AP via LAN cable to the router. So it would be great to have the choice to buy Zyxel APs (like the NWA50AX or the 90AX) and to link them to the router using the Mesh feature instead of AP mode.

Any tip & tricks are welcome.

The SCR 50AXE model will not include the MESH feature. For extending WiFi service, an Ethernet connection will still be required.

However, we have a plan to add mesh system in future products.

Is there a chance to add Mesh feature in a software update? It's the only thing missing in this router and it's hard to understand why...

The SCR 50AXE model will not include the MESH feature. For extending WiFi service, an Ethernet connection will still be required.

The USG LITE60AX support the MESH feature.

to have mesh wifi working with SCR50AXE the ONLY option is to add a Zyxel AP as root mesh.

Please consider that Zyxel mesh wifi works properly only with other Zyxel APs.

So what does the Smart Mesh option visible in the settings do?
By clicking on the list of supported models, the information "All models" appears.
If there is no mesh support, what is the problem of adding it with the next firmware update?

This is probably not a hardware problem, so what ?

It is difficult to understand why this model lacks such an important function.
