Zyxel router vmg3625-t50b. When the power is off for any reason and is back again, the router switches from vdsl to adsl and from higher speed to lower one. What is the cause of this and how to fix it on vdsl and higher speed? Thanks in advance.

It is recommended that you contact your ISP for assistance.

  • The router may be automatically negotiating the connection type and speed based on the line conditions after a power outage. In such cases, it's possible that the line conditions are not stable enough to support VDSL or higher speed, leading to the fallback to ADSL and lower speed.

You can try this : Deactivate all "DSL modulation" modem parameters exept VDSL2 in Networksetting/broadband/Advanced to enforce VDSL2 .

I turned my Router in a "VDSL2 only" one to accelerate negocation but here is no automatic fallback to DSL but to a vectoring base profile in case of line problems ….
