hi

I have several (4) NWA 130 be in a mesh network.
I would like to buy one more NWA 130 but use that one in WDS mode together with the root AP.
can I run the root ap both using it as a root mesh with my existing ap and simultaneously use it in WDS mode with a new ap located an a other floor.
Best regards

    Hi @saltet,

    Thanks for your updates.

If the new ap is going connected under the root ap, you don't need to enable the wireless bridge function. Actually, you can directly connect the new ap to the LAN port of the root ap. Our ap enable local bridge function by default.

The wireless bridge function is normally used on the repeater ap.

    Hi @saltet,

May I know if your NWA130BEs are in Nebula mode?

    Hi @saltet,

Thanks for the information. For Zyxel access points, the term "WDS" means the mesh system when the access points are in standalone mode.

May I know if "WDS mode" mode means repeater AP? If yes, the answer is yes. The newly added AP can join the current root AP.

Maybe I am using wrong wording.

Can my Root ap both handle mesh and bridge mode at the same time.
Today I only use mesh mode. My root Nwa 130 connect three ap Nwa 130.

I want to add one more ap and then use the root ap in both modes but only the added ap I bridge mode.

Can the root ap handle both modes at the same time without conflicts ?
