Hello everyone.

All my devices work well with a router from another Wi-Fi 5 manufacturer.

Description of the devices and the problem with the Zyxel router:

I have:

  1. Zyxel NBG7510 router.
  2. PPPoE connection.
  3. Region: Germany.
  4. Latest firmware (updated through the router's admin panel).

These devices connect and work perfectly:

  1. PC 1, via LAN cable.
  2. Samsung S21.
  3. iPhone 11.
  4. iPhone 12.

These devices connect but have issues:

  1. PC 2 (Wi-Fi 4, N module) - freezes and restarts.
  2. PC 3 (Wi-Fi 5, AC module) - restarts and freezes.
  3. iPad 2017 (Wi-Fi 5, AC module) - doesn't connect.

I tried changing the operating modes, disabling AX, but it didn't help.

There’s also an issue with changing the password: only the factory password on the router sticker works. If I change it, I can’t access the router's admin panel and have to do a full reset using the button on the router.

Please advise what the problem could be and how to get older devices that don’t support Wi-Fi 6, AX, to work on your router.

You can separate the Wi-Fi connections by giving different SSID names to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Have PC2, PC3, and the iPad 2017 connect to the 2.4GHz SSID and see if that helps.

Alternatively, you might try switching the security mode to WPA3 and see if that improves the situation.

    Hello @3MG

    Welcome to the forum.

I have an NBG7510 and it is working for me well with wired and wifi connections.

Do you know what version of firmware your NBG7510 is running?

The latest and last version is V1.00(ABZY.7)C0 version.

    Kind regards,

    Tony
