XMG1915-10EP - POE / PD is interrupted when booting

Hi, I have noticed, that switch when booting is performing 2 or 3 restarts of POE (power delivery is interrupted and resumed).

I would like to ask - is there any way to avoid such a situation? This is unfortunately causing that some of my SBCs etc. devices are powered up and forcibly powered off, then powered up, and again…

Of course this may lead to data loss etc. or some problem with hardware itself.

If currently it is not possible - then maybe some feature request - "delay power on after boot". I mean - option that POE is enabled only when switch is 100% booted-up.

Please consider and thank you.

regards,

Marcin

Is the "solution" out ? Since there's a new Nebula firmware (4.80(ACGP.3)C0 ) available for XMG1915 series switch and I didn't see any mentioned on release notes.

    Hi @cafebug,

I just confirmed the new firmware 4.80(ACGP.3)C0 fixed this issue. The release note missed this item; we will update it in the release note.

I have upgraded firmware to 4.80(ACGP.3)C0. As for initial checking it seems that reported POE/PD issue has gone (it is fixed) - after powering the switch up - it is not interrupted when switch is booting. Thank you.
