Can you push a beta release of the 7.1 firmware to certain nebula cloud accounts for eval?

Can you send me that beta firmware to test? I've been part of the beta program for a while.

Hi @jpblanch75,
I'm checking with our engineer to see if we can provide you with a date code firmware so you won't have to wait one month.
Hi @davidfi01,
Could you help enable the Zyxel support access so we can check your current configuration? This will help us if we can provide you with a date code firmware.

Hi @jpblanch75,
Since there is a shortage of resources - our engineers are working on the next official release, which includes many improvements - we cannot provide you with a date code firmware. Please wait for the next official release, which will be 2025 Q1.
I appreciate your understanding.

Hi,
Today the connection was single chanel 5ghz only even though MLO is active on ssid and Windows reports WiFi 7 and WPA3. If more examples are needed, let me know.

Dear @davidfi01,
We have conducted extensive testing regarding the symptoms you reported.
First, let me share the conclusion: This issue is related to Wi-Fi 7 client behavior but not an AP issue. Both issues you mentioned—stations not utilizing the 6 GHz band upon initial connection and not using tri-band (2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz) simultaneously with MLO SSIDs—stem from similar behavior patterns observed across WiFi 7 devices.
Our lab tests, MLO's connectivity comparisons with competitors' AP, and insights from online discussions show that most WiFi 7 clients prefer dual-band over tri-band connections for MLO SSIDs.
This behavior was consistent across devices like the iPhone 16, Intel BE200, and Samsung S24 Ultra (Taiwan WiFi 7 version) for all the tested WiFi 7 access points, including the competitors we tested. In our tests, Intel BE200 adapters connected in varying MLO configurations (e.g., 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, 5 GHz + 6 GHz, and 2.4 GHz + 6 GHz) under identical conditions. Interestingly, the 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz configuration occasionally switched automatically to 5 GHz + 6 GHz without manual intervention.
Since this issue isn't related to AP, it cannot be improved in our next firmware release.
We recommend contacting Intel support for updates on MLO-related features and driver improvements. We will monitor WiFi 7 device connectivity behavior and proactively address any potential enhancements to improve compatibility.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi,
Thanks for this update. As your update concludes that this is a client adapter issue, may I suggest that you also reach out to Intel via their support community and convey these results. As I am sure you are aware, Intel is prioritizing better performance from its wifi 7 adapters, so I think they would be very interested in working with an OEM like yourselves to ensure better standards compatibility and performance.
Happy holidays,
D
