Hello, It's been almost 6 months since I switched to 5G (I was forced to switch to 5G because where I live there is no fiber optics) with the FWA505 router.

In the last 2 months I started having problems, I had continuous disconnections. These disconnections sometimes last 1 microsecond sometimes even 1 minute.

I contacted my internet provider and he told me to check the logs on the page 192.168.1.1

Basically every time I had a disconnect, I went to check the logs and I got this message. Seems a Nebula problem.

(I'm not a computer expert, so if you have a solution, please explain it in an easy way)

Thanks, I hope I find a solution, it's really frustrating 🤣🤣🔪

    Hello @RichardXXX

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you able to say what version of firmware you are running?

The connection status screen will show it in the top right hand box, see below screen shot:

from user guide at the following link:

    Nebula FWA505_V1.18_Ed2.pdf

firmware 1.18(ACKO.4)C0 is the latest from September 2024.

Happy New Year and Kind Regards, Tony

I noticed now that checking the security logs (before I only checked the System Logs) I also have PING OF DEATH ATTACK and TCP PORT SCAN ATTACK (24h/24h).

Searching on google it seems like i'm the victim of a doss attack?

    Hi @RichardXXX ,

The NETCONF disconnections are occurring due to cellular WAN interruptions. Nebula is not the cause of these continuous disconnections.

You mentioned that you've been using 5G for approximately 6 months, but these frequent disconnections only started in the past 2 months. Could you please inform us of any recent changes in your:

    • Network topology
    • Device location
    • Firmware version
    • Other relevant modifications

Additionally, please navigate to Cellular Info from the Homepage and share a screenshot of your cellular signal status. Poor signal strength can be a common cause of frequent disconnections.

You received the log as PING OF DEATH ATTACK and TCP PORT SCAN ATTACK when there are connection request packets or port scan to your router, this issue is unavoidable in the Internet environment.
However, don’t worry about that because the system recognizes there are attacks, so do the protection your router and announce let you know.

    Hi @RichardXXX ,

The current cellular signal strength of -94dBm indicates average reception. To improve connectivity, please relocate your FWA505 to a position closer to the cellular tower to get better signal ( -90dBm at least).
Please note that several factors can affect signal stability: weather conditions, building materials and structure from cellular tower to your place, physical obstacles, other interference.
Finding the optimal location for your device will help maintain a more stable connection.
