Help Needed: Setting up VPN on Zyxel EX3220-T0 Router

Hi everyone!

I need assistance with setting up a VPN on my Zyxel EX3220-T0 router. The goal is to use the VPN so my TV can access streaming content that’s only available outside my country of residence.

I’m unsure about:

  1. How to install the VPN on this router (do I need any specific firmware?).
  2. The main settings I need to configure.
  3. Whether it’s possible to use services like ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or others directly on the router.

Any guidance, tips, or helpful links would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

    you can use VPN application (example NordVPN) to reach out service outside of your residence. No need to configure VPN on router itself. tho, you can lower firewall from medium to low if you are having difficitulity passing traffic.

    Welcome to the forum.

    I have not been able to find a user guide but have found specifications at https://loja.dicomp.com.br/roteador-zyxel-ex3220-t0-dual-band-ax1800-wi-fi-6/30645/p

    The specifications talk about VPN pass through, so you can not setup VPN on the device itself.

    You will need to set-up VPN on the devices at client and destination network, rather than on the Zyxel device.
