Hello,

Spotify on my macbook air does not see the external speaker on a Denon receiver connected to my wireless acces point. I have a Denon receiver connected to the LAN1 output of my Zyxel NWA130BE wireless access point. On my android phone it does detect the Denon receiver speaker through DLNA but my Macbook air doesn't see it.
Previously I had no issue when using a Fritzbox wireless access point instead of the Zyxel.

Is there a setting that I can change to make this work? I am using Nebula to configure the NWA130BE.

Thanks a lot for any help!

    Hi @jaronbor ,

On Nebula, please verify if the SSID is configured as a Guest network/ Layer 2 isolation and check whether the MacBook Air is included in the Layer 2 isolation's whitelist. You can find these settings at: Configure > Access Points > SSID advanced settings.

If your configuration is correct or there is no Guest network/ Layer 2 isolation enable, please check the following items on your MacBook Air:

    • Confirm your MacBook Air is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network (the one provided by your Zyxel NWA130BE) and verify that both the MacBook Air and Denon receiver are on the same subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.x).
    • Check Spotify settings on your MacBook Air to ensure DLNA or local network discovery is enabled.
    • Temporarily disable the firewall on your MacBook Air to determine if it's blocking DLNA traffic. If this resolves the issue, you'll need to create a firewall rule to allow DLNA traffic.
    • Ensure your MacBook Air has the latest drivers installed for its Wi-Fi card.
