How to unlock ISP locked router

Hello, few days ago I had to buy VMG3625-T50B from my ISP. It is running V5.50(ACBD.0)b4 (firmware is modified by ISP and it is really old). I tried installing firmware from zyxel website - 5.50(ABPM.9.3)C0, but it failed (invalid firmware). Is there some way to flash official zyxel firmware?

    The Problem is - it is not allowed to hack a Router in property of the ISP even if you can do it …

    You should buy a free Router instead .

    It is my. I bought it, because they dont offer internet without their router

    You can login to the Router via ssh client like "putty" (if your FW lets you do it) and change the parameters "fwidcheck" and "modelcheck" and then make a normal firmware update over web ui .

    Input this when successfully logged in "z modelcheck" and "z fwidcheck" and change the values :

    "ZySH> z modelcheck
    modelcheck [option] option: <on|off|show> #Not support save to flash#
    modelcheck on on : Active Model bit RunTime checking when doing FW upgrade via Web or TR069.
    modelcheck off off : In-Active Model bit RunTime checking when doing FW upgrade via Web or TR069.
    modelcheck show show : Display status about the Model bit RunTime checking
    ZySH> "
