Why Can I Not Connect to my USG Flex 100AX via WiFi

After about 10 months of use, starting this past fall, users no longer are able to connect to our Flex 100AX via WiFi. I had made no changes to the configuration or SSID password. Thinking I might have a hardware problem I purchased a new Flex 100AX & set it up. The Ethernet connections work perfectly but I still can not connect via WiFi. On my phone I sometimes see "Can not obtain IP number" but usually just can not connect. In the log I generally see Station: … has deauth by STA Logout on Channel: 161, SSID: Bifrost, 5GHz, Signal: -76dBm, Tx/Rx: 344/2747 Bytes. reason 3, Interface: wlan-2-1.

Reason 3 indicates that the device has "left the building" but that is not the case. And, this is not limited to my phone. Various phones & tablets, Android & iPhones are having this problem. Firmware is up to date. In fact, I'm wondering if a firmware update might have been the problem.

Please HELP!

    Hi @cmr251104

Since you mentioned "Can not obtain IP number", could you help to check the DHCP pool of the interface for this SSID? If the DHCP pool is full, the firewall will not able to assign IP address to the clients and cause this issue.

    You may:

    1. Enlarge the DHCP pool size.
    2. Decrease the DHCP lease time to allow offline WiFi clients to be removed from the DHCP pool more quickly.

If the issue still occurs, please help to collect the diagnostic file so we can help to investigate further.

    Hi Zyxel Melen,

The DHCP pool size is not the problem. Upon installation & completion of the Wizard the pool size is set to 200. I don't recall the lease time but it, also, is the default. There are only about six of us in the office using WiFi at any one time so we certainly are not running out of IP addresses. I will obtain the diagnostic file later today & upload it for you.

    Thanks!
