Currently, if the manually configured NTP server is unavailable during AP boot-up (e.g., simultaneous restart with the firewall), the AP switches to backup NTP servers and does not revert to the manual one.

To improve this, user @Maverick87 would like to request a spec change to include the manually configured NTP server in the polling/retry list. This ensures the AP eventually synchronizes with the preferred internal server once it becomes available, rather than staying locked on backup servers.

This request originated from the post found here:

    This seems a bug.

If I selected manually an NTP Server, this must be used as primary choice. I think is also wrong retry to other servers, the entry for the server is one and one must be the server for retry.

An idea can be implement a list of 2/3 servers and retry on this.

I have also a network switch (other brand) and in this case implement a list of servers and the retry is based on this:

In this case, is also implemented a Priority.

Otherwise, if not like a list of servers, for me is absolutely wrong retry on other "not selected/not visible/not modificable" servers; if the choice is one, one must be the server on which you retry.

Is simpler, faster and more appropriate to remove the built-in NTP server list and allow the admin config to set the NTP server list.

This built-in server list might be the default setting, but should be editable completely, including the removal of all NTP servers.

This should be applied to any NTP-capable firmware into Zyxel product range.

If you see, in my example/screenshot, on top-right angle, there are buttons to edit/remove/add entry.
In this device, the NTP Servers can be up to 3, so not possible to add more than 3 entry
