Connection issues with NWA130BE and Pixel 9 Pro
Since the upgrade to the latest firmware version V7.20(3) on my NWA130BE the Wifi does not work properly anymore on my Google Pixel 9 Pro.
The Pixel is connected to the Access Point, but the internet is not reachable. When I start to Ping a host, the first couple pings might working, but the rest usually fails and I'm getting a package lost rate of 80%.
I'm running the NWA130BE in standalone mode and the Pixel is connected via Wi-Fi7, 5 & 6 GHz, WPA3 Personal.
With the older firmware, I guess 6.5, I didn't have any troubles. I tried already a couple of things like disabling 6G band on the NWA130BE, resetting the wifi configuration on the Pixel.
Do you have an idea, how I can fix this issue?

Hi @hektor
Since I only have Pixel 10 Pro, which also supports WiFi 7, I tried to use it and connect to NWA130BE with the V7.20(3) firmware. The replicate result is no issue.
I assume your Pixel 9 Pro was near the AP during testing, so the signal strength and wireless link rate should be good. Could you help to do DCS for the bands? This is to ensure the channel utilization is low. (low is good because high channel utilization will cause an unstable wireless link)
If the issue persists after DCS, please collect the diagnostic file during the ping test. (Normally the ping tools use infinity ping)
You may share the diagnostic file with me via a private message.

Hi @Zyxel_Melen
Thanks for your response. Imho the channel utilization seems to be good:
What else do you mean with DCS?
I've sent you the diagnostic file during a ping test with almost 100% lost rate.
Best regards,
hektor

Hi @hektor
Thanks for the info and the diagnostic file. Channel utilization is good, so these bands are not experiencing signal interference; we will need to check the other parts.
I also have a quick check on the diagnostic file. I noticed that AP's client list shows an unusual Rx rate for Pixel (RX means AP receives from Pixel): 2.4/5/6 GHz is 0/0/6 M. This is not normal behavior, and we will investigate further. I will keep you posted once I have more information.

Hi @hektor
Based on our review of the collected diag-info, we found the AP's client list shows an unusual Rx rate for Pixel (RX means AP receives from Pixel): 2.4/5/6 GHz is 0/0/6 M. We have applied the same configuration in our test environment; however, we were not able to reproduce the same connection behavior. During the reported timeframe, other STAs were observed to maintain normal connectivity.
To ensure consistent test results, we recommend performing validation with the client device placed close to the AP and under clear line-of-sight conditions, in order to confirm stable signal quality. In addition, as this behavior may be related to temporary client-side wireless state handling, we kindly suggest the following steps on the mobile device:
- Ensure the device is running the latest available OS version
- Reboot the device to reset the wireless subsystem
- Reconnect to the SSID and re-test
In addition, we found a post which has the similar issue - Pixel 9 Pro can't access Internet and its rx rate has issue.

In this post, there has a workaround that reboot the Pixel.
