SNMP on RGS200-12P

I need to add this unit to HP IMC (HPE Intelligent Management Center), but no matter what I configure in GUI/CLI, IMC will never connect

Because SNMP is simply not accessible!

    To get it working, one must in

    SNMPv3 Group Configuration

    add the configured SNMP user to the required Group Name with usm Security Model

    What's your firmware version and snmp setting?

    Can the switch reach the snmp server?

    The unit does not reach anything. The unit is the SNMP destination for HP IMC

    Can they communicate between VLANS? YES, of course they can!

    It is just SNMP that does not play ball at all, whole snmp settings ARE already in the original post

    Firmware is the last available:

    V2.00(ABEP.1)

    Hi @scerazy,

    Please allow me to clarify — the RGS200-12P is an industrial-grade switch, so its configuration design differs from the GS2210-8HP. For SNMPv3, in addition to creating the user, you will also need to map that user to an SNMP group using the following command:

    snmp-server security-to-group model v3 name <security_name> group <group_name>

    Industrial or not, it would make sense if all your gear behaved the same in respect to the very same service

    But of course snmp user has to belong to a group that assigns the correct rights
