How to setup multiple home wifi networks
I would like to have several separate networks setup in a wireless router. I envision a ‘public’ network for guests with cell phones, Alexa/Home devices which must connect to the internet. I also want to have most of my home automation devices in a network which does not have access to the internet, such as IP cameras, thermostats, etc. I would also like a separate network that handles security devices and which also does not have direct access to the internet.
I am pretty sure some wireless routers can do this. Due to the area needed for coverage I will need to ‘extend’ the wifi coverage of these networks. Can a single WAP handle more than one network per band? Would I need to buy a WAP per network needing more coverage.
Thanks for any advice or shared experiences.

Hi Naruto001,
It looks like the scenario you would like to achieve need to do lot of settings on wireless home router.
It would be more easily to reach the goal to use USG Flex 100.
On USG Flex, you can easily to setup the rule for the client to restrict the destination. And divided the subnet easily for different uses.
Below are the spec of the USG Flex 100

And if you would like to choose the wirless home router, you could select NBG series, it could meet your need.
You can separate 2.4G and 5G SSID , 2.4G for your home automation devices, 5G for the public network for guest, and the guest wifi for your security devices.
Below are the link of the spec for NBG series

Best regards,
Jerry
