NAS326 How long to format 12TB hard disk?

I have just purchased a NAS326 to use as a backup device for my main NAS. I have added a 12TB Seagate IronWolf Pro drive (ST12000NE0008).
How long should it take to format this drive so that I can create a volume on it? It has now been about ten hours since I started the format and it is still running.

It seems that the format worked fine, it was just that the web interface did not go back to the desktop when it had finished formatting.
