LTE7480-M804 with Vodafone sim will not connect

Unit (LTE7480-M804) does not recognise the sim card. States no sim recognised. I can put my phones EE in, but the Vodafone will not recognise. Vodafone sim works fine in my phone.

I have set the APN settings manually, nothing, same result.

I have tried to update the firmware from current 1.00(ABRA.0)CO to (ABRA.3) or even .5. Here I get an error stating the firmware image is illegal.

Any ideas please.

There is no ABRA.5 yet. 
The V1.00(ABRA.3)C0 should've solve the problem. 
If you find an errror message showing that the firmware image is illegal, you probably downloaded a wrong firmware file. 
You may download the V1.00(ABRA.3)C0 from the following link, and reset to default during the upgrade.
