Cant access Synology DDNS when using NR7101

Hello, I am having trouble accessing my Synology DDNS when using the NR7101 5g router. I have the NR7101 connected via a Unifi Dream Machine. When I open ports on my Synology the connection test fails, I have also manually opened them on the UDM.
When I connect my EE broadband router to the UDM instead of the NR7101 I can access the DDNS fine. Is there a setting on the NR7101 I need to change? I thought being set to IP throughput this wouldn't need any other settings changing?
