Restoring files from backup

I can't seem to restore my files that are backed up on disk 2. Disk 1 suffered from a ransomware attack, disk 2 is using separate username and password. The back up files haven't been modified since the back up.
When running the restore task either by file or back up action both fail. Is there any other way of recovering the files compressed in the .Dar file type?
Using a NAS326
Thanks

When I remember well ZyXEL uses some opensource incremental backup program to do the backups. When googling the extension you might find software which can extract it.
