ssh into NAS326 as regular user

I am able to ssh into my NAS326 using my admin account. Shouldn't I be able to do the same, but as a regular user too?

No, the regular user account cannot use ssh to access the NAS

Can an ssh config be edited to allow regular users to ssh in?

As I know, it does not allow a regular user to have ssh access to the device.
And the access could only for administrator or root user.

The problem is that a regular user doesn't have a shell account, no entry in XXX. There is only a Samba account.
In my Tweaks package I added an option to let regular users have a shell, by adding an entry to XXX, but their shell password is handled separately.

/Edit: I can't submit a post containing the real content of XXX, Cloudflare doesn't accept that. XXX stands for the password file /etc/

Hello. I'm having same problem but with NSA 325v2. I can ssh using admin, but can't using other users. The users are present int /etc/passwd. I've tried using adduser to create a regular unix user, and this new user is unable to ssh in the NAS too.

Could you give some light on this?

You can only ssh if the user has a homedirectory and a shell specified in /etc/passwd, and that directory exists.

/etc/passwd is volatile, your changes won't survive a reboot.
