NR5101 - Problem with VoLTE calls

Hello everyone, I have a router connected to a 5g SIM with a data plan and unlimited calls.
I bought a voip phone that I connected via rj11 to rj45 cable.
Unfortunately, when I receive a call, the phone does not ring but the router shows that the missed call.
I can't make phone calls either.
The router setting has already been set to VoLTE service.
Do you know how to help me?
Thank you

Hello @EzioEzz
Looking at the ports diagram in the user guide for NR5101 available at https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/4403365084818-5G-Devices-Advanced-Downloads-Firmwares-and-other-resources- , the Phone port is an RJ11 socket.
So I think that you don't need an RJ11 to RJ45 adapter.
You need to plug an analog phone into the Phone port to make a VoLTE call according to section 4.12.6 of the user guide.
I hope that this is helpful.
Kind regards,

My NR5101 router has no phone port but only two ethernet ports. For this I connected the phone with the adapter to RJ45.
How can I do?

Hello @EzioEzz
Do you have the Nebula version of NR5101 with a QR code on the base?
- because that version does not have a grey coloured phone port.
- see the following Zyxel support video for the differences: https://youtu.be/yMQClWOAjqU
In which case, you can only do VoIP and not VoLTE.
Kind regards,

Yes, I checked now and I have the nebula version. So there is no way to use the calls that I have included in the sim card? Not even with a computer software? In case you want to use voip calls where do you plug in the phone?1

I don't think that you can use VoLTE with the Nebula NR5101.
It is not mentioned in the Nebula NR5101 user guide available at https://www.zyxel.com/global/en/support/download linked from https://www.zyxel.com/global/en/products/mobile-broadband/nebula-5g-nr-indoor-router-nebula-nr5101
Your options then are to do VoIP with a VoIP digital phone, e.g. those made by Yealink or Cisco, or use an analogue phone with a SIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) such as a Grandstream HT812 (which I use with my Zyxel router gateway and Sipgate)
The VoIP phones or SIP ATA would need to be plugged into a RJ45 network LAN port.
I hope that this is helpful.
Kind regards Tony0
