No volume?

Options
Logged onto my NAS and it's says I have "no volume"

I set it up last week and have had no problems until now. Harddrive is plugged in and working.

What happened? Any way to retrieve the data/restore the volume?

Not sure what issue you meet, maybe you can check the disk has plugged on the track correctly.

The disk is plugged correctly and it shows up in the interface. My "volume" that i created the other week is gone. I can't view my files and apps like tranmission is gone.

I assume that my files will be gone if a create a new volume on the disk?

Yes, creating a new volume will erase the data on your disk

Well that's not good. Any idea what happened? I get no error message or anything...The volume is just gone.

I  bought this device to save my data, not have it randomly deleted by the NAS.

You might check the drives diagnostic info (S.M.A.R.T) data
You can check your hard disk status, and check the S.M.A.R.T info to see if there is any part of your disk may be caused by bad sectors on the hard drive.

    On overview:

    "Bad
    43°C/109.4°F
    Status: Danger"

S.M.A.R.T info says nothing has failed though.

What do you make of it?

The disk shows a bad status, there is another page called S.M.A.R.T info, you can check the details information in the log.
