Introduction
In today's digital age, securing your Wi-Fi network is more important than ever. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security beyond just a password. This guide will walk you through setting up 2FA for your SSID using Google Authenticator.
Configuration:
Begin by navigating to Configure > Access points > SSID advance setting.
Click WPA Enterprise with WPA2/WPA3
Enable Two-Factor authentication
Click Save button
Verification:
On your device, choose the SSID that you have configured for two-factor authentication and follow the steps.
Open the Google Authenticator APP and follow the steps.
At the app's second screen, you will be presented with two options: “Scan a QR code” or “Enter a setup key”. For this example, select “Enter a setup key”.
Once you have entered the setup key, Google Authenticator will generate a code.
Enter this code into the Wi-Fi network access screen on your device.
Click Verify to complete the process and gain access to the Wi-Fi network.
Conclusion
By following these steps, you have successfully added two-factor authentication to your SSID, significantly increasing the security of your Wi-Fi network.
