Hostname is a identifiable name given to a device on a network. Changing the hostname for your Nebula managed Access Points allows you to easily distinguish and manage them, such as syslog, SNMP protocal usage, especially for large network environment management scenario.
To change the hostname of your Nebula managed AP, follow these steps:
- Navigate Devices » Access points page, and tap the specific Access Point that you want to change the hostname for.
- On the AP's detail page, locate and click the "Edit Configuration" button besides the Configuration title text.
- Find the 'Name' field and edit it to your desired hostname.
Once you've modified the 'Name' field, the hostname for your AP will change accordingly.
Now, you have successfully changed the hostname for your Nebula managed AP, making it easier to identify and manage within your network.
