You can take two different approaches to prevent your repeater AP from connecting to an unexpected AP:

Approach 1: Force the repeater AP to connect to a specific AP by following the steps in the link:

Approach 2: Disable the "Downlink" feature in the per-AP Smart Mesh settings to avoid any repeater from connecting to this AP.

Here are the steps to disable the "Downlink" feature:

  1. Navigate to the Devices » Access points page.
  2. Locate and click on the specific AP for which you want to prevent repeaters from connecting.
  3. In the status section of the AP settings, you will find the "Smart Mesh" option.
  4. Click the "Edit" icon to access further configuration options.
  5. Within the Smart Mesh configuration, find the "Downlink" option and disable it.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your repeater AP does not connect to the specific AP you wish to avoid, providing more control over your network connections.
