NR5101 modem module firmware update

Hi - the NR5101 is currently using modem module firmware RG502QEAAAR11A03M4G which is now some what out of date. The latest firmware for the RG502Q-EA is RG502QEAAAR13A02M4G (as used in the NR7101). Can you provide the latest modem module firmware for the NR5101 please?

UPDATE: Zyxel Support have provided me with the updated firmware image for the NR5101 (RG502QEAACR13A04M4G).

UPDATE: I've recently received the latest firmware from Quectel for the RG502Q-EA modem, which is now RG502QEAAAR13A03M4G. The main update being 5G CA.

There is no way of updating the firmware with the *.zip file from Quectel on the NR5101 so I believe Zyxel will need to compile an image that can then be uploaded.

Can Zyxel provide the required image file so the modem can be updated to the latest firmware please?

Hey!

It's the same modem (RG502Q-EA) in both the NR5101 & NR7101 but I think the NR7101 uses DFOTA for module firmware upgrades, so this probably won't work.

R13M4G is the latest firmware from Quectel, which I believe is available from the above website for the NR7101?

Yes, but you already have version R1304, on those pages it is version R1302.

Below is a link to a the latest firmware Quectel sent me last week, the NR5101 can't upload firmware in a zip file but the NR7101 might be able to:

This is the latest module firmware, the reason the one I've got for the NR5101 is A04 will be because Zyxel probably had to tweak it to get it to work with the NR5101.
