VPN user account no longer works

We have an end-user that as of this morning their VPN will no longer authorize them to connect. All other users within this organization authorize fine. And his was working yesterday. But this morning it will not recognize. I've tried it on Windows 10, windows 11, and MacOS. I've tried resetting the password but it still doesn't work. I even altered the username to no avail. In the interim, I just created a new user (username.new) and set them up to use it but I would like to know why the original username is not working and how to get it back if possible.

They are using Cloud Authentication with a NSG50 Security Gateway and L2TP\IPSEC with preshare key.
