In a managed network environment, you might find yourself needing to query the device name of an AP through SNMP, but only receiving the predefined name, such as "WAX510D."

If you're looking to retrieve the name defined in Nebula instead, here's a straightforward guide to help you achieve just that, including information on the necessary MIB file.

To update the AP's system name (SysName) in Nebula for SNMP queries:

  1. Go to Site-wide > Devices > Access points > AP detail page.
  2. Click Configuration Edit icon and modify the Name of AP.

3. After user change the device name on the NCC, its SysName will be updated to the name as well.
