Will it affect firmware update if disable FTP on Zyxel AP?

Disabling FTP will not impact firmware updates. Firmware updates are pushed from the cloud server to the APs in cloud/managed mode and standalone wed GUI download or local upload, disabling FTP does not interfere with this process. As long as your AP maintains a stable connection with the internet, firmware updates will proceed without any issues.
