Managed Service Providers (MSPs) play a crucial role in managing and supporting their customers' networks. To facilitate this, Zyxel Networks has enhanced the MSP ID and note tracking features in Nebula 18.10, building on previous versions.

Key Enhancements

  1. Expanded Notes Field:
    • Previously, the notes field was a single line, which limited the amount of information that could be entered.
    • The new version expands the notes field's width, allowing for easier reading and editing of longer entries..
    • The expanded notes field will resize based on the content, though the character limit remains at 256 characters.
  2. MSP Portal Improvements:
    • For users with an MSP pack license, the MSP portal now includes two new columns: MSP ID and Notes.
    • These columns display the MSP ID and notes for each organization, and users can directly edit this information by clicking on the edit icon next to the respective entry.
    • This enhancement simplifies the process of updating and managing customer information within the MSP portal.
  3. API Integration:
    • The API now includes MSP ID and notes fields in the schema for Nebula organizations.
    • By accessing the updated API (details available on the new GitHub repository), MSPs can programmatically track and manage the MSP ID and notes, further integrating their CRM systems with NCC.
  4. My Devices & Services Page Improvement:
    • My Device table adds MSP ID and notes column.

Benefits

  • Improved Usability: The expanded notes field and direct edit functionality in the MSP portal make it easier to manage customer information.
  • Better Integration: Enhanced API support allows for seamless integration between NCC and MSPs' internal systems.
  • Efficiency: These improvements reduce the time and effort required to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
