I have a NAS 540 that I have been running in a Raid 1 configuration with 4 - 4TB WD Drives. I have had 2 seperate clusters and recently I deleted the 2nd cluster and started to convert my 4 drives to a single Raid 5. This process has been going on for 2 days. I can no longer log into my device, I get to the log in screen but freezes there. My drives show all 4 drives slowly blinking together.
Suggestions? I can wait, but dont want to damange my first 2 drives with all my data

Thank you

The time required depends on the size of the data in your volume. Typically, the easiest way to proceed with expansion is to back up the data, format the disk, and rebuild RAID 5. This process is simpler if you don't have much data in the volume. However, if there is a large amount of data, the RAID 5 rebuild might take quite a long time.
