Setting up my Network
I have four Zyxel Multy devices which I am trying to create a network around the house. I have followed all the instructions / videos but I am still getting issues. I have enabled the 'Daisy Chain' option hoping that all the devices will find their own path back to the master router. However, I am getting placement errors saying that 'there is a weak signal and that I should move it closer to the connected router' - This is across all devices which are showing that each is trying to connect to the Master Router rather than ones which are significantly closer ! - How do I fix this connectivity issue please ?

Hi @GW4DVB ,
Could you let us know which model and firmware version you're using?
By the way, you can use the network tool to check the signal strength from the Master router, determine the ideal positions for your satellites, and then verify that your devices connect properly to the satellites.

Hi
I have the ZyXEL Multy X Tri-Band AC3000 Whole Home Wi-Fi Mesh System.
The Zyxel Multy Mini Dual-Band WiFi System Add-on and the Zyxel Multy X Tri-Band AC3000 Whole Home Wi-Fi Mesh System. Router or Satellite Extension - All running the latest firmware as provide over the air.All the devices want to connect to the Primary Multy rather than find the optimum route which shows up in the Multy App as being too far away !
Can you explain how I use the App to make sure that the devices connect to the optimum satellite ?
Thanks

Hi @GW4DVB ,
The app only shows you the signal strength range, not detailed signal information.
To ensure your wireless clients connect to satellites with optimal signal strength, you can use tools like inSSIDer or Windows command line utilities and change the satellite position.
Note: When wireless clients are close to a satellite (resulting in strong signal strength), they will more easily establish a connection with that satellite.

Still struggling - I started again to build the network - adding one satellite at a time. However, when the network is complete the satellites seem to connect back to the master which is not always the stronger signal then telling me to move the satellite nearer to the master when there is another satellite closer in the next room. There is something wrong if this happens..

Hi @GW4DVB
The Multy X currently doesn't support the ability to specify a primary uplink router. If you want a Multy X extender unit (satellite) to connect to a specific device, the only option is to test and adjust the physical distance between your Multy X devices.
Please be aware that the Multy model has reached its End of Life (EOL) status, which means our support for this model will be limited. If the issue persists, please contact your seller for appropriate support.
