The 540 has a volume limit of 16TiB (around 17.5TB). But it's possible to have more than one volume on a disk (or array of disks). Of course there is a limit on how much volumes you can create, but I don't know how high that is.

    BTW, V5.21(AATB.13) is from 2024/01/10

Thank you , fot your answer , i checked it out on other websites but also they dont know an be not sure

Even ChatGPT is not sure but it says it that with this firmware 10 to 16 TB is possible for each bay so total 64 TB shut be accepted??

You can without problems use 16TB disks, when you put one volume on one disk. If you create a RAID5 array of 4 disks, the effective size of that array is 48TB, so you'll have to create at least 3 volumes to use all that space.

Make sure you use disks without PWDIS. The 540 can't handle that, and the disk will not be recognized.
