XGS1930-52 Troubleshooting 10GbE connection issue
Hello.
I purchased 2 DAC10G-3M-ZZ0103F cables, I tested them in my lab with 2 PCs with Intel X520-DA1 10Gb network cards connected directly without a switch and I measured the speed with the iperf3 software obtaining 9.8Gbit.
After that I installed them at the customer's on two servers with the same network cards and the same DAC10G-3M-ZZ0103F cables but connected via the XGS1930-52 switch, the 2 links activate correctly at 10Gbit but the maximum speed I reach with the iperf3 software between the two servers is 1.3Gbit. Could it be that the switch limits the speed so much?
Thanks

Hi @aimirco,
What is the test result if you connect two issue servers directly? Please help check this issue so we can better clarify it.

I was not able to test connecting the two servers without the switch at my customer's site, however I noticed that one of the two servers pinging the XGS1930-52 switch often loses packets, perhaps it is a faulty DAC10G-3M cable.

I replaced the DAC10G-3M cable and now it no longer drops packets but the maximum speed has not changed.

Hi @aimirco,
Kindly remind: XGS1930 series needs to change the media type if you use DAC cable.
