FWA710 dropping 5G and returning to 4G.

Hi all,
An annoying issue that has started in the last few days. I don't think it is a router issue, and I have also raised a ticket with EE about this. But thought I'd ask the question here also in case their is a known bug?
Using latest firmware for awhile now.
But this is what I'm seeing, randomly it returns to 4G (LTE-A):
I can either choose to reboot the router (hence the low uptime shown above) or, toggle the "access technology" to something that I don't get, like 5G-SA which forces a disconnect, then I change back to 5G-SA/5G-NSA/4G (Auto) to reconnect.
On reconnect, I get 5G:
My signal strength is pretty much OK.
RSSI -72 (Good)
RSRP -83 (Good)
RSRQ -11 (Good)
SINR 3 (Fair)
SINR could be better but I am 4KM away from the tower but I get decent ping and speeds.
So yeah, any ideas? As I'm stumped. 😁
Thanks.

Hi @Noddy,
This issue should be less related to the firmware. Additionally, you may feel free to share the ISP's feedback with us.

Thanks @Zyxel_Melen . When I logged a fault via the app with EE they said there were no issues. I've yet to call to take it further. Current workaround is to take the Cell and RFCN ID's and to add a 4G Lock. It drops randomly, but, reconnects with 5G again. So no more worrying about dropping back to 4G. But no fix, as of yet.

I also plan to do a power down of all kit this weekend, to see if that helps.

@Zyxel_Melen unfortunately this doesn't appear to be an ISP issue. I'm trying a Vodafone SIM at the moment, 5G has good stats according to Router and Zyxel Air app. Yet Router has been up for just 3 hours and in that time it has gone back to 4G. That's two different ISP providers and two different masts / cells. What gives? Here are some stats after I toggle the wan from 5G-SA back to 5G-NSA/4G.

Just a quick update. Hoping that after speaking with Zyxel support (who have raised a feature request for me) that we can get an additional drop-down in the band selection menu, so that we can choose "5G-SA/5G-NSA" without a 4G option. The idea being if this disconnect happens it can't fall back to 4G and hopefully would just re-connect again with 5G. I've performed a factory reset of the FWA710 and I'm monitoring how that goes as well.

Also interesting that others have similar problem all of a sudden…
