Trying to setup Multy Plus using WebGUI - unable to access myZyxelCloud

I have Multy Plus WSQ60 Wifi Router.

I am trying to setup the router via the Web GUI.

The router was previously used by someone else, so I reset it before starting the setup process. The setup goes smoothly until I have to access the myZyxelCloud, which does not work.
When I click "Next" to access the cloud, the GUI tries to connect for a bit, then a warning message appears which says: We have some problems, reload the site or try again later.
When I try again later, it still does not work.

I tried resetting the router a second (and third) time with the same result. I tried using different browsers (Firefox and Chrome) with the same result.
The internet connection does work, the WLAN I set up works as well, but I cannot access myZyxelCloud and finish the setup process.

I only want to use the Web GUI, not the app.

any ideas?
