Question:
I purchased a second-hand switch, but when trying to register it to my organization in Nebula Control Center (NCC), I receive the message: "Device is already registered by another user."
How can I release the device from the previous owner's account?

Answer:
There are two methods to register the device under your account, depending on the condition of the device's QR code label:

If the QR code label on the device is still intact:

  1. Download the "Nebula App" on your smartphone.
  2. Log in with your Nebula account.
  3. Scan the QR code on the device to re-register it to your organization.

If the QR Code Label Is Damaged or Missing:

  • Reset the device to factory default settings.
  • Use a browser to access the local management interface of the Zyxel device (default IP may vary by product type: switch, AP).
  • From the interface, generate or scan the internal QR code to register the device again.
