I have not seen "my" issue now in three weeks.

I should not have written that. 😀

Yesterday, it popped up again. Once the AP was restarted, I noticed that I have ping drops for everything leaving that AP. Pinging the AP itself was fine. I remember that I had this before as well. So I checked the the interface errors on the (backbone) switch and it turns out there is some kind of issue with that specific AP. Reducing the link speed to 1000M / Gigabit helped, so this was a clear indication of a faulty cable. I replaced the patch cable and interface errors look good now.

I can imagine that my issues with my iphone can be explained by that. Especially, because my issues were always observed with that specific AP.

I will continue to update here.

    Hi @Flachzange

Thank you for your continued patience and for keeping us updated on this matter.

Our engineering team has conducted comprehensive testing and identified the connectivity issue between the iPhone 16 and NWA130BE. Our investigation reveals that the iPhone 16 is not properly responding to certain access point information frames, which subsequently causes the WiFi connection to be disconnected.

Please note that this is an ongoing investigation. While we have identified the technical behavior, our team is actively working to determine the optimal solution. We are committed to resolving this issue and will provide updates as soon as we have conclusive findings.
    Recommended Temporary Workaround:

In the meantime, we kindly ask you to try the following configuration change:

    • Navigate to your SSID settings
    • Adjust the band selection to 2.4GHz and 5GHz only
    • Disable/unselect the 6GHz band

This configuration adjustment should provide stable connectivity while we work on a permanent resolution.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thanks @Zyxel_Melen for the update. I can indeed confirm that non of my previous resolution attempts helped. It still occured during the last days. I will now disable 6 GHz to see if that improves the situation.
