Can't log in the wheel just spins
Freshman Member
One of my raid 5 drives failed. I powered off the NAS540 and replaced it. After I power it back up I can't log in. I get to the login screen and the wheel just spins forever. I even tried a factory reset so it's back to the default username and password but still I never get past the spinning wheel. Any idea how to get past it?

My solution was to create a new TrueNAS server from one of my old computers and put the drives in that. I retired the Zyxel NAS540.

Can you login when you remove the disks?

No it does the same thing.

There is a know problem with stale cached data in the browser, which is triggered by a firmware update. The default remedy is to clear the cache in the browser. It is worth trying, although I don't see a connection with your disk exchange.

Clearing the cache didn't change anything. I've also tried to connect from different machines with the same result.
