Why can’t adjust a wireless AP’s output power go up to 30 dBm as big as the NXC can support?
1. Although the default output power setting for wireless APs is 30 dBm on the NXC.
2. The output power of the connected wireless APs can’t really go up to 30 dBm.
When you set the output power value to 30 dBm, the connected wireless APs do attempt to increase their power.
However, not all wireless APs can support the power level to 30 dBm.
Each wireless AP model’s maximum transmitting output power may vary.
For example, the maximum output power of the NWA5121NI in EU specification is 18 dBm. When you set the value to 30dBm on the NWA5121NI, the real output power is still 18 dBm.
configured output power(dBm) - > real output power(dBm)
30 - > 18
20 - > 18
10 - > 10
*Please note: The actual output power is the typical transmitting output power plus or minus 2 to 3 dBm.
