There are three options to connect Multy X to Internet which includes DHCP, PPPoE and Static IP provided by the ISP. Detail description can be found below if you would like to get more understanding.

DHCP

Abbreviation of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
A method of connection where the ISP assigns your IP address when your modem requests one from the ISP's server. Some ISPs require you to make some settings on your side before your router can connect to the Internet.

PPPoE

Abbreviation of Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet.
Select this option if your ISP requires you to use a PPPoE connection. This method of connection requires you to enter Username and Password (provided by your Internet Service Provider) to gain access to the Internet.

Static IP

Used when your ISP provides you a set IP address that does not change. The IP information is manually entered in your IP configuration settings. You must enter the IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS Server. Your ISP provides you with all of this information.
