Yes, Multy X allows user to use different WiFi SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz in the network. But there will be two separated WiFi networks (one for the 2.4GHz band and the other for the 5GHz band) which require you to manually connect to the band you want to connect and the band steering feature will be disabled.

With the band steering feature, Multy X has to be set up with the same SSID for 2.4GHz band and 5GHz band for guiding your connected devices to the band with the best performance.

You can set up a separated 5GHz WiFi SSID in the following 2 conditions, during installation and after installation.

How to separate 5GHz WiFi during installation process?

Step 1: Tap button or slide slide it left to right to enable "Separate 5GHz WiFi".
Step 2: Tap "Create" to create the separated 5GHz WiFi.

Step 3: Tap "Next" to proceed to next step.

How to separate 5GHz WiFi after installation has completed?

Step 1: Tap the "Settings" icon in the bottom-right corner to enter "Settings" page.

Step 2: Tap "Private network".

Step 3: Tap the button or slide it left to right to enable "Create a separate 5G network name" and tap "Save".

Step 4: Tap "Confirm" and then the system will start to change 5GHz WiFi SSID.

Step 5: After setting, different 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs are shown on the "Settings" page.
